40 years have passed, Michael
Myers finally escapes, and he is back in hunt. Laurie, who has been trying to
warn her family and fails, has to face him once again, the murderer whom she
escaped from. With Halloween being celebrated and an unexpected guest follows
along, the chasing begins as Michael Myers comes to take lives of people, not
because they deserve it, but simply because they live. And here are my personal
opinions about the movie.

As
always, let’s begin with the plot. Without spoiling anything, the plot is
simply about revenge. It is the reunion of Laurie Strode and Michael Myers. Regardless
its simplicity, it actually provides an interesting showdown between the two.
There are of course moments, while I was watching the movie, made me ask
questions such as, “How could that even be plausible,” “Why can’t he just be
smart,” “Really? Is that the best option in your mind,” and several more. Those
problems don’t really affect the main plot, for me, they are just additional
scenes to provide some grisly moments. But then there comes the problem. Fear
is at its best when it is unexpected and unknown, but unfortunately, the movie
doesn’t really apply that theory. The gruesome parts don’t really feel that
grotesque because sometimes it is so predictable and the characters’ stupidity
(these don’t include Laurie, and Michael) makes it even more ridiculous. And it
happens for most of the deaths that occur in the movie. The flow of the movie is pretty smooth and fast, considering the fact that it is only 106 minutes long. It never lingers on the boring parts, everything happens quickly and sometimes there is no gap between each kill, it surely keeps everyone prepared for what's to come. let’s talk about
the ending. The ending is awesome. The meeting between the two, and how there
is no fear between them but just hatred, makes the ending even more intense.
There is even one particular moment (which of course I won’t spoil) that made
me instantly regret the thing I’d just said prior to that moment.
Now
let’s go on to the acting. The acting is okay. I couldn’t really blame those
who act witlessly because it is the script that demanded them to do so, but
overall they are okay, no one is too melancholic or too dramatic. In conclusion,
the movie is 7/10 for me and also, it is definitely not for kids.
